From a sermon series by Bryant Wright, Founder
“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12
Have you ever felt like something deeper is going on behind your struggles, but you couldn’t name it?
Scripture names it: you’re in a spiritual war.
Not metaphorically.
Not symbolically.
Literally.
The enemy doesn’t want you to recognize this. He prefers you think he doesn’t exist. But the moment you realize that this is a war, everything shifts.
It explains why temptation feels so personal, why discouragement hits so hard, and why spiritual growth feels like swimming upstream. You’re not crazy. You’re in a battle for your soul, your mind, your relationships, and your future.
But here’s the hope: we are not fighting alone. We have armor. We have the authority of God’s Word. And most of all, we have Jesus, who has already won the battle and the war!
So, you’re not crazy, but live differently by remembering we are in a battle – a war – but in Christ, victory is ALWAYS assured.
The next time your week unravels, pause, pray, check in with God, and ask for clarity. You may be experiencing opposition that indicates God is about to do something significant in and through you. The devil doesn’t want this to happen, so tell him, “In the name of Jesus, go to hell!”
