SPIRITUAL WARFARE DAY THREE: WHEN YOU STAND FIRM, OTHERS GET STRONGER, TOO

August 03, 2025

From a sermon by Bryant Wright, Founder

“Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13

We’ve been talking about spiritual warfare and how it affects you.

However, standing firm isn’t just about you.

It’s about what God does through you when others see you hold the line.

Think about it: when someone else keeps the faith through cancer, doubt, betrayal, or loss, it inspires us and reminds us that God’s power is real.

Paul says, “Put on the full armor of God… and after you’ve done everything, to stand.” Not to sprint. Not to fix everything. Just stand.

That’s faith. That’s trust. That’s courage. That’s legacy.

Sometimes, standing firm is our greatest witness. Our quiet courage can point someone else back to Jesus. It can inspire and encourage others who are struggling to continue on.

The enemy wants you to believe your faithfulness doesn’t matter. But God says otherwise.

The two prefixes of the word ‘courage’ are polar opposites:

“En” builds up.
“Dis” tears down.

Let’s always choose the “En” prefix and encourage others!
