FEAR NOT, EVEN ON THE SCARIEST NIGHT

“So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10

Fear is one of the most powerful forces in life. It can keep us awake at night, rob our joy, and paralyze us from moving forward. Sometimes it’s tied to real circumstances– a health diagnosis, a financial setback, a relationship that’s falling apart. Other times, fear grows out of “what ifs” that may never even happen.

Isaiah first spoke these words to Israel while they were surrounded by enemies and uncertain about the future. God reminded His people that though nations rise and fall, He alone holds ultimate power and will not abandon those who belong to Him. That same promise now belongs to everyone who trusts Christ.

God doesn’t downplay your fear. He doesn’t say, There’s nothing scary out there. Instead, He says something far better: I am with you. His answer to fear isn’t denial– it’s His presence. Fear loses its grip when we know who’s with us.

The Creator of the universe is right beside you.

Picture a child walking into a dark room, alone. Every sound feels threatening. But when dad’s hand slips into his child’s, the fear shrinks. The room hasn’t changed, but the presence of someone stronger makes all the difference.

That’s exactly what God promises: “I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” When fear grips you, remember whose hand you’re holding.

So, whatever darkness you’re walking through– a health scare, a financial setback, a relationship that’s breaking– lean into His presence. You don’t have to figure it out on your own. The God who conquered sin and death will never let go of you.

Trust the One who is stronger than whatever you face. He is with you. He will help you. And He will not let go.
