LIVING THE GIFTED LIFE IN CHRIST – DAY FOUR: NEW SPIRIT, NEW LIFE

“He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who lives in you.” Romans 8:11

God didn’t raise Jesus from the dead to provide history’s greatest miracle.

He did it to secure our future and fill our present with hope. The resurrection isn’t just a doctrine to believe; it’s a power to live by. The same Spirit that raised Jesus is now your daily helper, comforter, and guide. So, lift your head. You’re not running on your own strength—you’ve got resurrection strength!

Romans 8:11 is a promise with power: you don’t have to live a half-hearted, barely-getting-by kind of Christian life. Through the Spirit, you’ve been given resurrection power—right now. Not just for eternity, but for today. Power to resist sin. Power to endure suffering. Power to live with joy, purpose, and peace in a broken world.

But that’s not all. This verse also points to your future. One day, when Christ returns, your worn-out body will be raised to new life, just like His (1 Corinthians 15:20). Think about it: a body that never gets broken and never dies.

That’s our future in Christ.

The resurrection isn’t just a past event or future hope—it’s a present reality. And that’s why the Holy Spirit matters so much. He’s not a vague force; God’s presence dwells in us, empowers us, and reminds us: Because we belong to Jesus, one day we will receive new indestructible, eternal bodies.

Praise the Lord!
