Life is full of ups and downs. Thankfully, God’s Word tells us that no matter what, He is always there to help. Our role is to persevere. This means not just simply persevering through the day to day, but persevering in faith.

When we face hardships, God stands ready to guide us – but He never forces Himself on us. He waits on us to call upon Him in heartfelt prayer. Then God’s answer will come, in His own time, in His own way, and according to His own purpose. We have to trust that His plans are better than our plans – even when we don’t see the full picture. It’s in that season of waiting that we can be comforted in the knowledge that our Creator can overcome any obstacle, even if we cannot.

Remember that even when God’s answer isn’t the one you wanted, God is still in control. When our plans fail, remember that failure isn’t permanent…unless you fail to get up. So pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and trust that God is still by your side. After all, God is a God of new beginnings. He’s the One who can help “keep you keeping on,” no matter what turn life takes.
