“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.‘” Isaiah 30:21

How do we recognize the call of God? Most of the time when God calls us to leave one place and move into another, we experience a sense of strong inner leading. In my life, I remember wrestling with the decision to leave the business world and move into full time Christian ministry. I didn’t know exactly what that would look like, but I felt a strong inner leading to take that step away from the familiar and into the unknown.

Stepping into God’s calling for your life can be very uncomfortable because it forces us to depend 100% on God. As we move out of our comfort zone and into the uncomfortable, we MUST lean on God. We have no other choice.

The Bible is full of stories of men and women stepping into a calling they didn’t quite understand.  Sometimes they felt under-qualified. Other times, the call seemed just plain illogical.  Yet time and time again when they said “Yes,” God showed up.

What calling is God asking you to step into? Maybe it’s trusting Him with a career change, starting a new business, or beginning to serve in ministry. Whatever it is, trust that when you say “yes’ to God, God will take care of the rest.
