“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17
Imagine a book that begins with one writer and, over 1,600 years and about 40 different writers later, is finally finished. You would not expect it to have one clear message from beginning to end.
Yet that is exactly what we find with the Bible.
Starting around 1500 BC and completed about 100 AD, the Bible has many human writers but tells one unified story. How is that possible? Because behind every pen and parchment there was one true Author: the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit guided each writer so that, although their styles and backgrounds differed, the message stayed the same. From Genesis to Revelation, everything points to Jesus.
The Bible calls this “God-breathed.” That means the very breath of God inspired each word. And that is not just remarkable; it is life-changing.
God’s Word is also timeless. It was written across centuries, yet it still speaks truth today. No matter your age, culture, or language, Scripture applies. Why? Because the message of the Bible is perfect and trustworthy. It never goes out of date.
So is the Bible reliable? Absolutely. God gave us this book as His truth for every generation. It teaches, corrects, and equips us to live for Him.
If you have not read it lately, start today. Open the story that runs from first page to last, the story of Jesus and His love for you.
It could change your life.
