“God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, ‘Abba, Father!’” Galatians 4:6
“Abba” is one of the most personal words in the Bible. It’s like saying “Dad” or “Papa.” That’s how close God wants to be with you. He wants us to know Him as “Papa.”
Maybe the word “father” is complicated for you. Earthly dads can fail us. But God never will. Through His word, the Spirit reminds us we are His children. When doubts creep in, His Spirit whispers: “You are Mine- no one can take you from Me.”
This is the heart of Christmas– not just that Jesus came, but that through Him, we can call God our Father.
