“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.‘” Isaiah 30:21
When you receive a “calling” from God, is it a physical thing? Do you actually hear His voice?
Most of the time when God calls us to move in a particular direction, we experience a sense of strong inner leading.
In my experience, I remember wrestling with the decision to leave the business world and move into full time Christian ministry. I didn’t know exactly what that would look like, but I felt an inner sense that God wanted me to take that step away from the familiar and move into the unknown.
Stepping into God’s calling for your life can be very uncomfortable because it forces us to depend 100% on God.
As we move out of our comfort zone and into the unknown, we MUST lean on God. We have no other choice.
The Bible is full of stories where men and women step into a calling they didn’t quite understand. Sometimes they felt under-qualified. Other times, the call just seemed illogical. Yet time and time again when they said “Yes,” God showed up.
Is God asking you to step into a different place in your life? Maybe it’s trusting Him with a career change, starting a family, or beginning to serve in ministry.
Whatever it is, trust that when you say “Yes” to God, He will show you which way to go.
