“Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.”
Hebrews 13:15
In a world driven by self-expression and opinion sharing, it’s easy to discuss politics, pop culture, personal struggles, or simply the weather.
But what about Jesus?
Hebrews 13:15 challenges us to bring a different kind of offering—words of praise. That means our speech reflects the goodness of God, even when life is hard. It’s not about pretending everything is fine; it’s about acknowledging the One who is faithful, even in the mess of everyday life.
Why is it called a sacrifice? Because praise isn’t always easy. It costs us something—our pride, our anxiety, and our lack of trusting faith.
But praise offered through Jesus is powerful. It shifts atmospheres and it realigns our hearts with truth. And what a powerful witness for Christ it gives.
What are your lips producing? Are you echoing the cynicism of the world or boldly declaring God’s faithfulness?
Today, let your words supernaturally reflect your worship.
Tomorrow, we’ll dig into “The Sacrifice of Doing Good.”
See you there!
