“When the fullness of time came, God sent forth His Son.” Galatians 4:4

It’s been said that timing is everything. Think about moments in life when timing was critical– landing a job, meeting the right person, or catching a flight at just the right minute. Too early or too late, and everything changes. Let’s be honest– some of us are always on time, and others… not so much.

But no matter which group you’re in, something is comforting in knowing this: God is always on time.

Paul tells us that Jesus came in the “fullness of time.” History was prepared– every prophecy, every cultural development, every geopolitical situation. God’s plan was set in motion at the beginning of creation. Then, through the prophet Micah, He predicted the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem. From that moment to the rise of the Greek language and culture under Alexander the Great, to the Roman Empire’s roads and relative peace, God was aligning history with precision.

Even Caesar Augustus’s census caused Mary and Joseph to travel to Bethlehem at just the right time for Jesus to be born in the exact town Micah (Micah 5:2) prophesied. What seems like a series of coincidences was a divine clockwork of being right on time.

So if you’re wondering whether God is late in your life– in the new joy you need, in your healing, or in your answers to prayer– remember: He is never late. His timing is perfect. Trust His calendar, not your watch. He is ALWAYS on time.
