FULLY ACCEPTED JUST AS WE ARE

But God showed His great love for us, that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  Romans 5:8

Have you ever felt that you’re just not good enough?

Maybe you’ve drifted away from God and faith, and now your life is more than a little messy. You’ve thought about coming back to God and church, but you want to get a few things right first.

While common, this mentality is the complete opposite of what Jesus taught.

Over and over again, Jesus spoke about this concept called repentant faith. To put it simply, it’s a willingness to recognize and confess our sins – no excuses – and a desire for God to step in and take over. It’s about admitting where we’ve blown it and recognizing how God, through Jesus Christ dying on the cross, has paid our penalty.

Now, this doesn’t mean that we can continue along in the same sinful lifestyle we’ve been living. No, but thankfully, as we begin to walk with Jesus and put His teaching into practice, our lives begin to change.

Here’s the point:
We don’t have to get our lives together before coming to Jesus.
We don’t have to try to clean up the mess ourselves.

The reality is we will never be good enough or “put together” enough to earn our way back to God. And that’s okay. God took care of it through Jesus on the cross.

All we need to do is return to Jesus, fully accepted just as we are.

Are you ready?
