BEARING FRUIT: LEADING OTHERS TO CHRIST

June 30, 2024

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
John 15:5

Have you ever tasted the sweet satisfaction of leading someone to Christ?

There is nothing quite like it. It’s the joy of knowing that your life has made an eternal difference in someone else’s.

In today’s scripture, Jesus tells us we will bear much fruit when we abide in Him. One of the most important ways we bear fruit is by leading and pointing others to Christ. Whether we share what Jesus means to us or share the gospel with another person, invite someone to church, or live out our faith in front of others, every act of obedience can lead to someone coming to know Jesus as their Savior.

But bearing fruit isn’t just about “adding people to the kingdom.” It’s about showing the love of Christ to a lost and hurting world. It’s about being a light in the darkness, pointing people to the hope and salvation that is found in Jesus alone.

Think with me for a minute. Who is that person in your life who needs to hear the gospel? It’s the greatest news they will ever hear.

Take some time today to pray for them.

Look for other opportunities to share your faith.

And trust that God will use you to bear fruit for His kingdom.

I can promise you’ll never experience anything more fulfilling than being used by God in leading someone to Jesus.
