LONELINESS

There is an epidemic in the world – not the coronavirus – it’s loneliness. 

In this digital age, we are more connected than ever, yet millions are incredibly lonely. We’re surrounded by people, but we don’t have a real friend.  Loneliness is such a problem that Great Britain and Japan appointed Ministers of Loneliness to tackle the problem. 

Why are people so lonely? For starters, many are going through life with no relationship with our Heavenly Father. God created us to experience a relationship with Him.

What you’re looking for won’t be found in social media, by binge-watching Netflix, or even by another person. It can only be fulfilled in Jesus. When you know Jesus, you can be alone, but not lonely.

Will there still be loneliness? Sure. But even then, we need to trust Jesus’ words that He will never leave us.

If you’re feeling lonely today, talk to Jesus. Ask Him to fill the aching hole in your heart.
