“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
Hebrews 13:16
It’s one thing to talk about generosity.
It’s another thing to live it.
The writer of Hebrews reminds us that doing good and sharing what we have are acts of sacrifice that please God.
In our culture, time and money are tight. We’re busy, tired, and we spend for today while trying to save for tomorrow. But the call to do good isn’t just about convenience; it’s about intentional sacrifice.
When we choose to help someone in need, to give when it costs us, or to serve when we’d rather rest, we are reflecting the very heart of Christ.
Generosity isn’t about having abundance—it’s about living with open hands. And when we live that way, we’re part of something eternal. There are hundreds of ways to give back – from tithing to your local church to giving to dig a well in a remote village for clean water, helping a neighbor during a hard season, or providing financial support to a family on their adoption journey.
These sacrifices aren’t just nice gestures—they have a Kingdom impact.
What small sacrifice can you make today to glorify God by sharing with someone else some of the resources He has given to you?
You don’t want to miss tomorrow because we’ll be studying “The Sacrifice of Submission.”
