“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine. so neither can you unless you abide in Me.” – John 15:4

God’s Word tells us, “Look, before you speak, before you act, in whatever you do, ask yourself, ‘Is this what Jesus would say? Is this what Jesus would do? Will Jesus be pleased with me? Is my life going to be distinct and separate from the people of the world? Are they going to be able to tell that I belong to Jesus by what I say, by how I act?'” That is the challenge that God’s Word gives us today.

But how can we learn to answer that key question, “What would Jesus do?” God tells us that we’re to soak in the Word. We’re to read it; we’re to study it; we’re to meditate on it; and we’re to live it. We should gather with our fellow believers to worship, to sing hymns, to sing praise songs, to sing spiritual songs. It is through the teaching and preaching of the Word that God admonishes us to live for Him, and we’re inspired through the gathering together of worship and encouraged by one another when we sing our praise songs to God. That’s part of the spirit we’re to have in the body of Christ and it is through that Spirit that we learn how Jesus would have us deal with this world.
