Who Knows You?

June 10, 2009

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you. Before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” – Jeremiah 1:5

Who really knows you and the thoughts of your heart and the secret things that you intentionally keep hidden from others? Do you share your innermost thoughts with anyone?

Some may say it’s their spouse or a best friend. Yet, I suggest that even though you may think that you know yourself well and that others see the real you, no one knows you more completely that the One who created you.

God says, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” It only makes sense that in order to know and understand ourselves, we need a personal relationship with the One who knows us best.

The good news is that God knows us best, and He loves us more than anyone else. He knows our failings and our shortcomings and He loves us anyway. Through Jesus Christ, we have the privilege of having a personal relationship with our Creator. That relationship begins when we accept God’s love through faith. It’s a relationship that lasts forever and that’s mighty good news.
