“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” – Philippians 1:21

Back in 1999, the name Cassie Bernall became synonymous for courageous Christian commitment. She was one of the committed Christian teenagers killed at Columbine High in Littleton, Colorado. When asked by the teenage terrorist if she believed in God, and knowing it could cost her her life, she paused and said “yes” and she was killed instantly – a martyr for her Faith.

One of the good things that has come out of this terrible evil is the inspiration Cassie Burnall became to people throughout our land. It has been said that we have little to live for, until we are clear what we will die for. She was willing to die for her Lord because of the joy and meaning He gave her life. And she believed with absolute confidence that death has been conquered by Christ. This is real faith. Is it your faith? Until we are willing to die for Christ, we’re really not willing to live for Christ.
