“I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord…” – Jeremiah 24:7a
I love to read biographies, especially of presidents. (I’ve even met 3 presidents). At the end of a great biography, you feel like you really know the person; and although I know a lot about that person, I don’t really “know” them. I only know things about them.
Most people treat Jesus the same way. They might know a lot ABOUT Jesus, but they don’t really KNOW Him personally. So, how do you go about getting to know Jesus personally?
- God’s Word –Through God’s Word, you can get to know Jesus. But it doesn’t end there. Scripture without faith is just knowing about Jesus.
- Faith – Faith is key to believing what Scripture says is true.
- Pray –Talking and listening to God allows you to grow in relationship with Him.
- Attend a Christ-centered church – Church helps you know Jesus through worship, fellowship, and ministry.
When it comes to Jesus, do you really know Him or just know about Him? Knowing Jesus on a personal level makes all the difference.
