“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” – Hebrews 13:8
“Why doesn’t God perform miracles today?”
It’s a question I am often asked, and I want to help you understand the answer.
In the Biblical days of the journey of faith, God brought about a large number of miracles to jump-start the people’s faith. And yes, He performed miracles for His people long ago, but it didn’t end there!
I’ve got really good news for you:
God still performs miracles today…unfortunately, many of them simply go unnoticed. Or we deny that a miracle took place.
In other words, if we’re paying attention, we can all point to experiences in our lives that can only be explained by God. The truth is His miracles are all around us every day.
But, my friends, more miracles are not what we need. What we need is to believe in the miracle of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
Miracles were always meant to authenticate the performer of the miracles. Acts 2:22 declares, “Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.”
We would love to hear from you. Email us at questions@rfth.org and share about a miracle you’ve witnessed or experienced. Then revisit that email often to remind yourself how God moved powerfully in your past and to help identify what God is doing in your life today.
In these dark and difficult days, we all need a reminder that God is still in the business of miracles.
Do you believe that?
