There is a lot of anxiety in our world, isn’t there? And not just in the world in general but in our own private lives as well. There is war and rumors of war, challenges of global economies, partisan politics, strained relationships, health issues and personal finances to name just a few. We all have plenty to worry about! The thing about worry is it never solves the problem or makes it go away. Anxiety does not change anything but ourselves … only making us less sure and more fearful.
The Lord cuts through all the reasons we may have for anxiety and simplifies the process. Stop it! Be anxious for nothing! We should be reminded that He is the God of the Universe, the Creator and Almighty God. His hand is not too short nor is His ear too dull to know of our specific plight. In our weakness, He is made strong; therefore, He encourages us to cast our total care upon Him. We can be honest with God for He can handle it! Pray in the language of your unspoken heart. But pray with an attitude of thanksgiving in that He will indeed see you through. You see, anxiety masks our trust. When we worry, we are actually taking it upon ourselves to fix it … and ultimately, we cannot. Refocus the trust you have in yourself to a full and complete trust in the Lord. Jesus Christ is our Advocate; the Holy Spirit is our Guide … and God will be our peace. This peace is not an emotion, but a peace that goes beyond our ability to understand because it is from God Himself. He says so. It is then our hearts and minds are guarded in the strong, capable hands of the One Who loves you the most.
A line of an old hymn says, “What a friend we have in Jesus … all our sins and griefs to bear. What a privilege to carry … everything to God in prayer.” Right From The Heart Ministries is committed to introducing that Friend to an anxious and worrisome world. What about you? Voice your genuine prayer to Jesus right now in releasing your worry to Him. He is ready to take it and to return to you, peace … blessed peace.
