Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Me.” So, what happens to those who die without actually hearing of the salvation found in Christ? It is a difficult question to answer, but with what Jesus said, it couldn’t be clearer. Because of that, the church is given a mandate; we’re to take the gospel to every tribe and nation.
But what about those who never have a chance to hear because the church simply has not completed its job yet? The Bible says the person that has never been able to hear of Jesus is still going to be responsible for responding to God with the natural revelation of God that they have received (Romans 1:20). Now how God does this? I don’t know. Yet, we know that God, who has sacrificed His Son for our salvation, wants us to receive that salvation. And He is going to be fair, and just, and loving. We must trust Him to make the right decision for those who have never heard. We know He will do the right thing.
But as for you – you have heard – did you listen? Because those who have heard are without excuse. Be sure you choose Jesus, because He truly is the only way to God.
