MORE ABOUT THE END TIMES – CHRISTIANS PART 4

“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be.” Matthew 6:21

THE COST OF CULTURAL CHRISTIANITY

It’s easy to blend in – especially when it comes to Christianity. Saying the right words and doing just enough to pass for an average “Christian” is pretty simple. Today, these “Cultural-Christians” fill every church. So how do we know if we are a true follower of Jesus or simply a “Cultural-Christian” going through the motions?  One way to spot the difference is to look at our relationship towards money and things. Jesus said that where our money is – that’s where our allegiance lies (My Paraphrase of Matt. 6:21).

When the End Times arrive, this topic will become all the more relevant as the Antichrist, empowered by the Devil and supported by a false prophet, will divide the true followers of Christ from these “Cultural-Christians.” One tactic he will use will be to target people’s finances by demanding that everyone be physically marked to prove their loyalty to him.  This “mark of the beast” (Rev. 13:16-17), will replace our IDs, credit cards and even checkbooks. It will be the only access into the world’s economic system. Otherwise, we will be left out. If we are still around, our allegiance will be demanded and it will clearly show if our hearts are with God or our money.

Many will choose to blend in and accept the mark. In fact, many have already chosen to put their trust in their finances rather than in God. Their checkbooks show it. What about you? Are you a genuine Christian whose bank statement reveals your true allegiance? Or are you a cultural Christian who has chosen money over God? If you are not showing your trust in God through your tithes and offerings to God, now’s the time to ask for God’s forgiveness and help to realign your heart with His.
