Lies In The DaVinci Code May 05 2008
"You shall not bear a false report..." - Exodus 23:1
The DaVinci Code has been an extremely popular book and movie. Part of the reason for its popularity is that we live in a world where people are fascinated by Jesus, yet they are ignorant of what history and the Bible can teach us. As a result, many lies about Jesus in The DaVinci Code are believed to be true.
It begins with a lie, stating, "Descriptions of art work, architecture, documents, and secret rituals in this novel are accurate." Dan Brown wrote the novel as if it was historical fiction when in reality, it was just fiction. There are speculations about art work, architecture, documents, and secret rituals for which there is either no evidence or they are blatantly false. Then the author proceeds to tell more lies.
While The DaVinci Code may be popular, but adheres to the philosophy of a Nazi Germany propaganda specialist who said, "The bigger the lie, the more it is believed." Sadly, many have believed. But good news! There is an historically accurate book about Jesus and Mary Magdalene. It's called the Bible.
