"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might." - Ecclesiastes 9:10
As a teenager, I went to work in a tennis shop, learning to string racquets. The owner told me I'd have to practice on old racquets for a couple of weeks before he'd let me get paid to string customers' racquets. After a few weeks, he gave me a brand new Jack Kramer racquet to string for one of his best customers. In the dark ages of the twentieth century, there were no finer racquets.
I worked carefully and slowly, and when I was done, I said to the shop owner, "I hope he likes it 'cause that's the best I can do." He looked it over and smiled and said, "I hope so, too, 'cause it's yours."
That man gave me a gift that has lasted long after the racquet gave out. We need to do our best to treat folks like we want to be treated because we never know when our actions may come back to bless us or haunt us. God's word is clear, "Whatever a man sows, this he will also reap."

I am a computer programmer. I apply this principle to every line of code that I write. I take great care in ensuring that the program is error-free and is easy to read. I have been doing this for so many years now that I find it very difficult to write sloppy code or "quick and dirty" as most people refer to it. When you put enough effort into a task, it becomes second nature. - William McEvoy
Being nice to others and pride in your work. Too bad it's not found often enough here on earth...but heaven awaits! - Bob
Great scripture, a nice story and a good reminder for us to do to our best in all we do to honor our Lord. - Melanie
I agree, what you and how you treat others, whether good or bad, always is returned unto you, even if people treat you badly, Jesus tells us to love our enemies. Also when you show love you receive love, and in this world, love is really needed. Before i recieved jesus, i was a selfish person, mean also, treated people badly, and in return i wasn't liked very much, but after accepting Christ, it's impossible not to show love, it's hard to keep that joy inside, and for me now it's so easy to show love, and so rewarding, one of the greatest things we get to do is put a smile on someones face and make a difference in their lives, even if we don't know it - mike
