Will You Be Toast? Jun 22 2012

"The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance." - 2 Peter 3:9

There is a lot of focus these days on doomsday movie scenarios. Movies like I Am Legend and War of the Worlds envision a deadly virus that will kill everyone. Others worry that aliens from other worlds will overtake us, and boom! It's all over.

What do you think?

God destroyed the world once with a flood when mankind was so bad they made Him sick. In the end, God will destroy the world with fire. But there's a reason He hasn't done it yet. Consider His words: "He is waiting because He desires for none to perish and He is giving more time for sinners to repent." That's in the Bible.

Hey, is that you? God loves each of you so much that He wants all to be saved by Him, but His patience will eventually wear out because of the evil of our world. When it does, will you be toast or will you be safe in heaven?

What do I think? Well since you asked- I think that's pretty awful
(or incompetent) God who creates a world and puts people in it, then drowns them or blows them up for weaknesses he himself must have created in them.

No matter how bad my children act, I would never kill or torture them. Too bad you can't say the same about God.

BTW- 2 Peter is a very late forgery, known to be fake even in antiquity.

Even Christian authors admit this.

Hey Erik:

Have you ever seen "The Night of the Iguana..."

Sometimes I think I have Tortured my Kids...But you know what? I gave them Everything...I spent so much time and money with Both I Lost Myself.

Is it the Girls Faults? No...They are Better Sinners than me. Is it the Kid's Fault? No...They are just getting ready to get Started in Life. Even though the one down at Emory will be the Boss of many some Day.

You could leave out that Late Forgery Stuff--All of it was copied by Scribes.

The only people who believe that is Fake? Are the People who believe it is Fake.

You can post all this Email stuff and give Links and all that Junk?

This just the Same Old--Same Old.

Folk who have Right Relationships with Christ could Care Less...After all the Apologies are Issued? Bills are Paid and We Failed.

But we really did not Fail--We Succeeded at a time when God wanted us to Succeed as Men.

You are no Biblical Scholar so just let's Keep on Topic--That is one of my Favorite Verses.

Of Course you would not lift a Finger to hurt your Kids...That is why God Placed Good Dads like you on this Planet.

But cut the Crap OK? You ain't no Biblical Authority/G

What Erik seems to think is that "God isn't fair". He's right. God is Just, and God is Mercful. You get one or the other. That's the whole story, if you just read it. God is sovereign. Don't like that? Talk to him, not us.

"His patience will eventually wear out."

This sounds like more of a human quality to me, not one a perfect god would possess.

As usual Gunk, your comment is not relevant and a non-sequitur.

Yes, God is just. Same as the leader of North Korea. He can torture or kill people, even little children and it's all perfectly legal. He makes the rules.

Really, you folks should study the Bible more. There's a lot to be learned.

All that we know, we know from the Bible and all that we don't know, we didn't know because we are human, we are limited, our understanding is not capable of comprehending beyond what is physical, only one trait trancends the boundaries of our limitations and that is Love. With Love no explanation is required. I Love my fellowmen because Christ died for them. Don't believe in Christ? That's your understanding. Will I be saved? Yes, and that's my understanding. Only in the end will mankind know if what he believes is true. When all are face to face with Him... who loves us all... Why not just Love one another?

So lets wrap this and call Tomorrow Today. They just took down another of my posts.

That is OK.

Look: I only know a few people who have been to N. Korea...They did it we didn't. This Internet Stuff is just the Internet. This is just Posting--Not Living.

God is not Slack concerning His Promises--Men are Slack concerning their Promises.

So JCO my posts are useless to you...You read it and responded. Heck they are useless to me as well. Like Grant said a few months ago: I learn much more from others than me.

We should love one another...We should but we don't. Jesus does not leave any of His Little Lambs out in the Prarie to Fend for Themselves...

When we really need Him? He is There...

Erik, you study to Bible to convict God. I study the Bible because it convicts me. It shows me what I truly am, and then it fulfills the promise of my redemption. A redemption that is by the grace and love of God. You may or may not ever understand that part of the Bible, because God will have to open your heart to it. I pray that he does. Grant

God is not slack, concerning his promises, this is so true in my life. He promised to provide the need in my life and he has done that and then more. There was times that I couldn't work due to an accident but yet, God sent people to our home and they helped us in many ways. We never was hungry, our lights was never turned off and all our bills were paid. That is the God I serve, He promised, and He delivered. Blessed be the name of the Lord!

The prophesies are complete. Unless all the elements of the predictions are in place the thing won't happen.
His process is to rid the world of evil. It doesn't make him sick, sad, or cry. He is smelting evil from the people he created. He will know when it is done. The end time won't be until it is done. If you are still confused, read the book again.
