Appreciate The Creator Jun 02 2012

"God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good." - Genesis 1:31

Isn't God's creation a wonder to behold? I'm always amazed when I watch the Discovery Channel or a National Geographic special on an in-depth study of an animal I've rarely seen, gaining insight about what makes them unique and how they survive.

Even though God is rarely, if ever, mentioned on these shows, it causes my faith to soar, for I'm reminded that God thought of everything, every little detail in creating this living thing. Everywhere you turn in creation, there's evidence of intelligent design - the work of the Master Artist.

Let me ask you something: When you see a great painting...DaVinci's Mona Lisa, a piece by Van Gogh, or a scene of American life by Norman Rockwell, do you have more awe of the piece of art than of the artist? Not likely. Yet, we do this all the time with God's creation. If we honor the creation and forsake the Creator, we miss everything. The best way to appreciate creation is to know and appreciate the Creator.

Romans 1:20 - "For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse."

The universe itself is a revelation from God, perhaps the greatest revelation ever. When I look into the sky I cannot help but be awed by the blatant evidence of God's handiwork.

The cosmos could function just fine without being so beautiful. The only reason they are is to "declare the majesty" of God.

Amen Brian.

We are also told that all things were made by and through the Word (the Son), and that in Him, all things are held together.

With all science has revealed about the Creation, it still cannot explain what holds it together in such perfect harmony (and disharmony).

I admire the quest for knowledge and explanations that drives the scientist. I just think that at the end of the journey, you will find God. Just as we will find Him at the end of our spiritual journey.

Amen and amen! How could any logically minded person fail to see the intelligence, love and care in the design of the universe, and especially our earth. Nothing becomes more complex without intelligence applied to it..in fact the reverse..it decays.
Be in awe of what God has made!!! Hallelujah!
