The Simple Things Really Do Matter May 22 2012
"...Here am I. Send me!" - Isaiah 6:8
Do you think that someday you will be able to do something great for God? Maybe you will write a huge check to your favorite charity or possibly fund a program to feed the hungry. Perhaps you might help a special ministry at your church.
Many people waste so much time waiting until they can do something big that they miss opportunities for service right now. This attitude is the opposite of the one that the Bible teaches. Jesus took simple things from ordinary folks and turned them into resources beyond imagination.
One day a little boy overheard the disciples of Jesus trying to figure out how they were going to feed 5,000 families. The boy offered his lunch of five loaves and two fish to help. When Jesus received it, He multiplied it into enough food to feed 5,000 families - with leftovers.
This same Jesus can turn the simple things you bring to Him, those deeds of service day by day, and multiply them into great blessings for you, as well as for others. As small as it may seem, He is looking for people who will give Him all they have, and trust Him to do the rest.

Yes, report it NevermindYes,we do not need to wait until we can do the "big things".What ever we can do,no matter how little it may look,we should do it with love.I remember the story of Jesus about the widow that gave so little but actually gave more than everyone else.
May the Lord teach us,order and direct our steps according to His words and purposes.Amen.Shalom.

Yes, report it NevermindThere's one simple and easy thing we all can do on a daily basis. That's to say a simple hello with a friendly smile to a stranger. That person could be deeply depressed and even be considering suicide. That friendly greeting might just be the little spark needed to change that person's attitude and......life. That would be a perfect example of a small deed having a major impact for the better and for God.

Yes, report it NevermindI also wanted to say I love the God I serve. He set me free from my past. I lived for almost 40years of a heart full of hurt, pain, hate, anger, resentement, and frustation. Then one weekend at Ignite Retreat,i surrender it all to God finally. And today I live pain free. only looking to do my heavenly Father's work freely...wanting to tell the world about how He has set me free and from what, maybe one day... thank you for at least giving me his opportunity here to may be do it....
