Do You Really Know Jesus? Mar 01 2012
"I will give them a heart to know Me, for I am the Lord..." - Jeremiah 24:7
You've probably thought about what knowing Christ means. Now think about what knowing Christ doesn't mean. It doesn't mean knowing about Him. Let me explain.
I love to read biographies, especially of presidents. At the end of a great biography, you feel like you know the person. Yet, I've never met a president, and even though I know a lot about them, I've never known one personally. Most people know a lot about Jesus, but that doesn't mean they know Him personally. So how can you know Him personally?
- God's Word. Through His Word you can know Him. But scripture without faith is just knowing about Him.
- Have faith. That's key to believing what Scripture says is true.
- Pray. Talking and listening to God allows you to know Him.
- Attend a Christ-centered church. This helps you know Him through worship, fellowship, and ministry.

Yes, report it NevermindIndeed for us to be complete and become a whole we need to know Jesus personally. The Lord will open our hearts to his faith, word and spirit so that we may understand him more!

Yes, report it NevermindFurther to this, I can't recommend highly enough a book by John Eldredge called 'Beautiful Outlaw'. "Experiencing the playful, disruptive, extravagant personality of Jesus", reading this book had a major impact on my relationship with Jesus. Please read it if you can!
